National Pet Month 2025 – Our newest dog-friendly holiday cottages on the Suffolk Coast

As passionate dog lovers, we take pride in the fact that more than half of our holiday cottages in Suffolk are dog-friendly.

Suffolk is an ideal getaway for you and your canine companion, featuring miles of stunning coastline, numerous footpaths and walking trails to explore, and a fantastic variety of cafes and restaurants that are happy to accommodate dogs. This April, Durrants Holiday Cottages is excited to celebrate National Pet Month, highlighting our collection of dog-friendly holiday cottages along the beautiful Suffolk Coast. We’ve been hard at work expanding our selection of cottages that welcome furry friends, and you can see all our new holiday cottages which are dog-friendly below.

This charming and inviting apartment is perfectly situated for pet owners. Just a quick walk to the beach, you’ll also find The Canteen nearby – a dog-friendly café and restaurant that offers delicious specialty coffees, brunch, and seasonal lunches. Inside, the apartment features mostly hard flooring, and there’s a shared courtyard at the rear, ideal for relaxing on warm summer days. Right across the street, St Edmunds Green provides a lovely space for your furry friend to run around and enjoy the outdoors. Whilst the holiday apartment is mainly suited to two guests, there is a sofa bed should you need to accommodate additional guests.

Additionally, the fully enclosed paved courtyard at the back provides a safe space, though your dogs will likely be eager to dash out the front door to explore the expansive grassy Common just waiting for their adventures!

You’ll find numerous walking paths and trails right at your doorstep, and don’t miss the stunning bluebells at Reydon Wood Nature Reserve (please note dogs must be kept on a lead at the Nature Reserve). Aberford features an enclosed rear garden for your furry friend, though please be aware that the front of the cottage is open.
