Full Description

This traditional townhouse on one of Southwold’s most iconic streets has a real feeling of family. It’s a home that has been loved by generations and will continue to be for years to come. The highlights of this delightful family home are the huge amount of space in every room and the superb location, being just over the road from Southwold Common. The standard of accommodation at Waverley is basic but it’s the perfect base for a fun-filled family adventure exploring Southwold, Walberswick and the surrounding area.

The kitchen, lounge and dining room at Waverley are all open plan but laid out as well-defined separate spaces. The sitting room enjoys views of the common, comfy sofas and smart TV; you’ll find plenty of games to keep you entertained too. The dining area has an attractive dresser and farmhouse style dining table and chairs for up to 8 people, while the kitchen is enormous and has all the necessary appliances and gadgets to cater for all the family during your stay.

Upstairs you’ll find three generously proportioned bedrooms; a double, a twin and a superking. There’s a travel cot available for toddlers which should be requested before arrival. One shower room services all three bedrooms plus there’s a WC downstairs and a wash basin in the double bedroom. The superking bedroom is palatial in size and enjoys spectacular views across Southwold Common and beyond from its huge bay window.

With the common just on the doorstep and the beach a short stroll away Waverley is perfectly located for four-legged visitors. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome here and as well as the endless walks from the doorstep, there’s also a fully enclosed rear courtyard garden, which also has dining table and chairs for six.

Fabulous house (I could live in it). Spacious but cosy.
We loved Waverley. Everywhere felt very homely
The house was brilliant for us and we had a great time. The space downstairs was great and the size of the master bedroom is very impressive. The house was very clean and everything seemed to be in good condition. We've scored the decor lower as it is dated, especially the bathroom and the double and twin rooms upstairs. But we would definitely stay again and have already recommended to family.
