Tucked inside the Old Hospital, The Canteen’s Winter Supper Club is the perfect way to welcome the Christmas season. Chef Rosie Sykes, celebrated for her bold, uncomplicated and beautifully seasonal cooking, will be crafting a winter menu inspired by the best local produce. Expect a warm, relaxed atmosphere and dishes that celebrate the richness of the season’s vegetables and flavours.

A Christmas Carol – One-Man Performance at The Swan

This December, The Swan welcomes actor Mat Jones for a mesmerising one-man retelling of A Christmas Carol. Using only his voice and presence to conjure Dickens’ world, Jones captures the chilling arrival of Marley’s ghost, the warmth of the Cratchit family and Scrooge’s joyful transformation. It’s an atmospheric, intimate performance that will leave you steeped in festive spirit.

Southwold Christmas Day Dip

25th December | 10:30am (registration from 9:30am)

A beloved Southwold tradition, the Christmas Day Dip is as invigorating as it is heart-warming. Join locals and visitors on the beach as brave swimmers dash into the icy waves all to raise funds for Southwold RNLI, Parkinson’s UK, and the Peartree Fund.

It’s a wonderful spectacle whether you’re taking the plunge or cheering from the shore. Don’t forget your wristband and warm layers!

A Christmas Carol (Film Screening) – Southwold Cinema

Step back in time at Southwold’s charming 70-seat vintage cinema for a festive showing of A Christmas Carol. Complete with usherettes, interval organ music and a nostalgic atmosphere, this 1912-style cinema offers a magical end-of-year experience unlike any other.
