Full Description

An ideal base for exploring the Suffolk Coast, be it on foot, by bicycle or by car, this wonderful rural holiday cottage has been lovingly renovated by its owners to provide guests homely, comfortable, and charming self-catering holiday accommodation. Situated between the quiet village of Wangford and the bustling seaside town of Southwold, this delightful, terraced cottage offers peace and tranquillity but within easy reach of the shops, restaurants and cafes of nearby towns and villages.

On entering this chocolate box cottage you’re greeted by an inviting sitting room with deep sofas and chairs and feature fireplace ideal for cooler evenings. There’s a Smart TV and selection of books and games too. A sliding door leads through to the country-style kitchen which has recently been refitted to include washing machine, slimline dishwasher, electric oven and hob and fridge with ice box. You’ll also find a bright and modern shower room on the ground floor with electric shower, WC and basin.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with comfortable beds, hotel style white cotton bed linen and glorious views of the surrounding farmland. The master bedroom offers the flexibility of zip and link beds; choose between a superking bed or two singles. The second bedroom is a double.

Outside there’s plenty of space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. There’s a pleasant dining area at the end of the garden, ideal for a leisurely breakfast or evening drink. Also, to the side of the cottage, you’ll also find private parking for two cars, plus storage for bikes.

Holidays for Walkers: With a plethora of picturesque public footpaths available just moments from the door of this delightful Reydon holiday cottage, it’s ideal for those wishing to explore Suffolk on foot. The Suffolk Coastal Path and Sanderlings Way are highlights for wider exploring, but for short local walks, guests can enjoy a stroll to Reydon Smear and Woods, the Hen Reedbeds and routes overlooking the River Blyth from Old Hall Farm.

Holidays for Cyclists: 4 Church Cottages is ideally located to enjoy the many cycle routes of Suffolk. Explore the Suffolk Coast via Dunwich Forest and Heaths towards Thorpeness and Aldeburgh, or head inland towards Beccles and Halesworth to enjoy routes around the Waveney Valley. The owners of this holiday cottage have installed a metal storage container with lockable racks for up to four bicycles, making cycling holidays here simple and convenient.

Holidays for Dogs: 4 Church Cottages is a dog-friendly holiday cottage, welcoming one well-behaved dog. Owners are requested to keep dogs downstairs and avoid letting them on the furniture. Dogs must not be left unattended at any time. Please see our terms and conditions of booking.

Fab modern kitchen & shower room, a touch more traditional decor, big beds, a versatile location and lovely gardens and lawns. Care has been taken in every aspect and the owners welcome suggestions. Plus Reydon has a Chinese takeaway if you don’t want to cook.
Lovely little cottage and very comfortable.
Lovely Easter weekend break at No 4 Church Cottages. Very pretty spotlessly clean and well situated in a peaceful setting ten minutes drive from busy Southwold.
