Things to do this Easter holiday

We may be a little biased, but Southwold is the place to be this Easter – and Southwold is ready to welcome you!

Southwold has something for everyone. Families will enjoy the magic which unfolds along the quirky Pier, with panoramic views beyond to Walberswick and Eastern Bavents. Don’t forget to take a few coins and have some competitive fun on the Tim Hunkin machines and arcade! For traditional seaside fun there’s plenty of sand to construct your castle empire, not forgetting a few ice creams stops along the promenade. Within central Southwold pretty shop-front windows entice you inside – from clothing boutiques, artisan bakeries, coffee shops and confectioners.

On the outskirts of Southwold in the charming village of Reydon is the Southwold Maize Maze which very handily re-opens for the Easter holidays. The maze is full of outdoor adventures for big and little kiddies including bouncing pillows, zip lines, climbing towers and much more. Parents can relax with a beverage from the on-site cafe and watch the fun unfold. Or for something a little quieter, take advantage of the gorgeous spread of bluebells in Reydon Wood.

Southwold and the surrounding villages flourish at Easter time with plenty of Easter themed activities for all ages. Join in with Easter crafts at the Suffolk Wildlife’s Carlton Marshes nature reserve and just a short drive away from Southwold Henham Park are hosting their Easter Country Show – a spectacular two day event packed full of exciting activities and exhibitors. A little further afield at Snape Maltings you can stock up on plenty of local Suffolk produce at the Easter farmers’ market.
