5 Reasons to take a holiday in September

With the last of the summer crowds dispersing and a new season on the horizon, September is a fantastic time of year to recharge your batteries before the temperatures drop.

We’ve highlighted below five reasons why holidaying in Southwold and the surrounding area in September is an ideal time of year to choose.

1) Glorious weather

The weather in Southwold can be surprisingly warm in September so don’t be tempted to pack away sun hats and swimsuits just yet! Cool mornings are usually followed by bright blue skies filled with sunshine. With the gradual change of colour of the leaves on the trees, it’s a great time of year to enjoy the great outdoors.

2) Less Crowds

The Suffolk coast is a truly special destination, so you may want to make a shortlist of all the places you want to visit when staying here. In September the streets are quieter so it’s easier to get out and about at your leisure.

Holidays in September are generally cheaper than those taken in peak season such as in the six weeks of summer or over the Christmas holidays. Whilst the prices may be lower you can still expect the same number of facilities on offer within Southwold and the surrounding area.
