Oh so cute and cosy! This charming Southwold cottage is a lovely place to explore Southwold in more detail.

Full Description

Petrel Cottage is in a tucked away spot yet moments away from the hustle and bustle of central Southwold. This charming cottage is deceptively spacious with accommodation spread over three floors. The owners have cleverly transformed Petrel Cottage into a cottage which appeals to both couples and families with small children. The open plan sitting room and dining area is a lovely space where you can socialise together and the brilliant design of the small kitchen area provides you with all necessities desired for a self-catering break.

Holidaying at Petrel Cottage gives you a fantastic base from which you can explore Southwold and everything this coastal gem offers. At the end of the road you’ll find the popular Red Lion pub serving local Adnams Ales and food with a great ambience. Just a couple of minutes’ walk across the picturesque South Green takes you to the seafront where beachside fun awaits or head towards the High Street and enjoy a spot of retail therapy. The glorious green Common is also within easy reach and perfect for some quiet time reading a book and watching the world go by.

What we love about this property
The long front garden is great for all types of fun in the sun, whether it’s al-fresco dining on a warm summers evening or enjoying a few garden games with the family.

Enjoying our second visit to this lovely cottage. Bright and clean and a perfect situation. A Southwold treasure.
A lovely comfortable cottage, we enjoyed how central the location is, didn't move the car! Everything clean and new, well thought out, thanks for a lovely time.
Our fifth stay at Petrel Cottage - a little home from home, lovely stay. See you next year!
What a charming, well equipped cottage. In the most perfect location, DO NOT want to go home to Deryshire.. We will visit you again. Perfect.
Great cottage, great location. Southwold retains it's charm, we had a great week. Thank you!
This is such a charming little cottage and perfect for our little family of four. Brlliant location to enjoy Southwold! Thank you, we'll come again.
We had a lovely stay. Southwold is a very special town. Petrel Cottage was a lovely base for our stay - peaceful but great to be so close to the shops and seas.
When we first came in we thought it was very cosy and homely - 'small but perfectly formed'.
Lovely long weekend in February. Cottage is small/compact as described but they manage to fit everything in perfectly. Great location, very quiet and central.
Lovel quaint cottage in superb location - easy reach of the beach, promenade, shops & pubs. Great little garden. Great use of space, amazed at 3 toilets. Property is superbly equipped, lovely comfy bed & so so peaceful. Will definitely be back.
Loved our return to Petrel!! Lots of cosy days and trips to the beach - it really is the perfect place for a seaside holiday. We will definitely be back, thank you.
Third stay here!! Excellent location, lovely garden, good appliances/crockery.
Lovely cottage, quiet central location, well equipped and comfortable.
Lovely break away in Southwold, very pretty town. Cottage in great location. Enjoyed walks to Walberswick & had a lovely meal in The Dolphin in Thorpeness.
Really lovely cottage, perfect for our stay and with a few Southwold quirks thrown in. We found the ground floor tiny toilet more amusing than perhaps we should.
