Renovated with great care and attention to detail by its current owners, Palmer’s Cottage combines traditional cottage style and contemporary practicality to create a truly wonderful holiday home.

Palmer’s Cottage is small but by no means cramped, in fact it’s perfectly proportioned for a small family, couple or group of three friends to enjoy a holiday or short break in Southwold. The sitting room is a joy, with two deep, cosy sofas and wonderful woodburner. There’s a selection of books and games to keep you entertained in the evenings if you don’t want to switch on the Smart TV.

The kitchen diner is perhaps the heart of the home. A farmhouse style wooden table and chairs is the focal point, surrounded by cream kitchen units and soft sage walls to create a calm and relaxed feel. The kitchen is equipped with all the main appliances and gadgets and make holiday catering a breeze. Downstairs you’ll also find a chic shower room, clad in stylish slate tiles, and with white WC and hand basin.

Upstairs, the comfort continues. There is a double bedroom and a single with a pull out bed, suitable for children or adults. Both rooms have a soft coastal grey palate and the Egyptian white cotton bedding adds a little touch of luxury to these well-furnished bedrooms. The family bathroom at Palmer’s Cottage is very impressive too. Spacious, with two Velux windows, a bath with shower and glass screen, WC and basin it makes children’s bath time easy. It’s also lovely for a relaxing soak after a day exploring the Suffolk Coast.

Outside, there is a small paved patio garden, with dining table and chairs. There’s side access to the garden too.

Bedroom One – double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and beside cabinets.
Bedroom Two – Single bed with single ‘pull out’ bed, chest of drawers, bedside drawers and cupboard. Suitable for adults or children.
Family Bathroom – Bath with shower and glass screen, WC and sink.

OUTSIDE

Courtyard garden – Paved courtyard with side access. Dining table and chairs.

Dogs

One dog is welcome at Palmer’s Cottage. Dog bowls and poop bags are provided. Please note as outlined in our terms and conditions dogs must not be left unattended at the property and may only stay on the ground floor. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture. An additional pet fee applies.

Well what can I say, this was a wonderful cosy, homely and comfortable home. We were planning our next time we could possibly stay before we even left. This was a little treasure.

So lovely to return to our favourite cottage in Southwold, Bed linen and towels really are luxury, the roses in the garden were beautiful, a lovely backdrop to sit and read my book.

A wonderful cosy cottage, with very good quality towels and bedding. Comfortable bed. Lovely thoughtful touches such as the stair lights, blankets in the lounge (we had bought our own). Wonderful artwork and decor, in all rooms. We were also very impressed with the well stocked kitchen and glasses etc. The cottage was also spotless which we appreciated, please thank your cleaning crew.

Well equipped cottage that was warm and cosy even in cold weather. Excellent location in a quiet street in the middle of the town, close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Short walk to the beach.

The shower room and bath room are truly outstanding. The property is surprisingly spacious. The standard of decor and the building itself is very high.

Really enjoyed staying at this cottage. Very well equipped for cooking and great to have such a generous supply of logs and kindling for the log burner. Plenty of hot water and very comfortable beds and pillows etc. I was very impressed with the ease of booking this cottage.

As ever we had a lovely stay. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay at the seaside.

Palmer’s Cottage we found outstanding, lovely decor and very comfortable furnishings, it really surprised us how spacious the cottage was especially the lovely bathrooms all of which made for a very enjoyable stay.
