Full Description

Lovingly designed by its architect owner, Ferryway is a superb beach house nestled between the dunes and marshes on Ferry Road, Southwold. Just a short walk from Blackshore harbour and the High Street, and with the beach just over the road, this outstanding holiday home is positioned to make the most of Southwold’s natural beauty as well as its amenities.

The Suffolk landscape is celebrated in every room at Ferryway. There are panoramic views across the marshes towards Walberswick from the lounge/dining area and both bedrooms, which also boast Velux windows that flood the rooms with light. There’s also a wonderful first floor sitting room and top floor gallery room with uninterrupted views across the dunes and out to sea.

The owner has considered comfort and convenience throughout in his design of this bright and airy home. The open plan living area is furnished with deep inviting sofas and a modern woodburner making it cosy whatever the weather outside, while upstairs, two spacious bedrooms with king size beds and ample storage await. The modern kitchen is well-equipped and there’s a separate utility room with shower downstairs as well as a large family bathroom upstairs.

Outside you can enjoy the added bonus of a private parking space for one small car (maximum length 4m) and a lawned garden and terrace overlooking the marshes.

We really love this house. It’s such a great location. Incredibly easy to find easy to get inside and beautifully furnished and designed. The beds were super comfy with really high-quality linens and mattresses. Kitchen was extremely well equipped. But it’s the Location that’s stand out for this lovely house right on the beach on ferry Road Easy walk into Southwold the sale loft pub is just two minute walk down the road. We will be back.

Ferry way is in a fantastic location in Southwold. It makes a great base to explore the area.

This is perhaps one of the best locations to stay in Southwold and it was pristine, welcoming as beautiful.
