Stylish, comfortable and oh-so-cosy, you’d think Angel Cottage was sent from Heaven!

This sweet and charming cottage is a real treat for a twosome looking for a central place to stay in Southwold. Carefully and lovingly furnished using soft pastel colours, natural materials and seaside inspired art and accessories, the owners have created a wonderful coastal home-from-home.

Although small, this cottage does not want for anything. The sitting room has a wonderful fireplace with electric woodburner effect fire whilst the window-side dining table and chairs is perfect for a romantic dinner for two. The kitchen boasts all the necessary appliances and gadgets to prepare meals during your stay, although with Southwold’s pubs, restaurants and cafes on your doorstep why make work for yourself? To the back of the property is a small courtyard with bistro table and chairs, perfect for a pre-dinner glass of Adnams Prosecco.

Upstairs there’s one bedroom with a heavenly king size ‘Japanese floating bed’ set in front of a calming feature wall. There’s a well thought out dressing corner with shelving and a mirror, plus ample space for your luggage. The luxurious marble shower room has a large walk-in shower, vanity unit and WC.

The accommodation is not the only sweet thing about Angel Cottage – just next door you’ll find Harris and James, a popular gelato and coffee shop where you’ll be spoilt for choice for delicious treats including their sugary churros. The Nelson Inn, the beach and the High Street are also just a few paces away.

As the sign in the courtyard says, Angel Cottage really is “a small house with a big welcome”.

Sitting room – with smart TV, fireplace with woodburner effect electric fire, comfortable sofa and lounge chair, foot stool and side tables.
Kitchen – Country style kitchen with electric hob, electric oven, extractor, microwave, fridge with icebox compartment and dishwasher. Back door to courtyard.

FIRST FLOOR
Bedroom – King size bed, side tables and lamps, period feature fireplace, cupboard with full-length hanging space, dresser and stool.
Shower room – Large walk-in shower, vanity unit/sink, WC and airing cupboard.

OUTSIDE
Small paved courtyard with bistro style table and chairs. Back gate.

NEED TO KNOW
Towels and linen are provided.
Young babies are welcome at Angel Cottage. The property is not suitable for 'mobile' babies who are crawling or toddling due to layout and steep stairs.

We loved our stay. A beautiful cottage that was spotless, warm and welcoming. Southwold and the surrounding area are beautiful. Durrants were very helpful and so easy to deal with.

Warm, cosy cottage steps from Southwold town centre. Nicely decorated for Christmas/New Year. Well equipped kitchen with good, clean oven and hob. Very convenient for beach and local walks. Would stay again

Angel cottage is a beautiful and charming place. We fell in love with it the first time we stayed. It has such character, and it looks like a cottage with history, although it has all the modern things we need. It's always so clean and fresh, and feels like a real home from home.

We love Angel Cottage because it has a very 'homely' feel to it, and so much charecter. The decor is beautiful and bright and it has such a welcoming feel when we walk through the door. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom are spotlessly clean, and well set out (lovely shower). We have stayed many times now and hope to keep returning in the future. It almost feels like a 'home' from home.

Lovely clean cottage. Perfectly situated for morning swims and leisurely strolls around town. Pub just the right distance away and next door to the best ice cream shop!

A Lovely Christmas stay in cosy cottage, everything we needed for our Christmas break.

Nice small cottage, good location in the centre of town.

What a lovely cottage. Perfectly decorated and furnished. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room all done to an amazing standard. I really liked this house and felt right at home. Southwold is lovely and this cottage is right in the heart of it. Kitchen really well kitted out and had everything on hand to cook with; they even have a Bose Bluetooth speaker in the kitchen so I could listen to music as I made dinner. I would highly recommend this property and if I am working in the area again I will be re- booking. Durrant's the agents are based just round the corner from the cottage. Parking was easy to find just across from Red Lion pub and I had no issues parking at anytime during my 5 day stay. You cant go wrong with this property; had such a lovely feel and the bed was super comfy too.

Angel Cottage is perfect for two. Really has everything you'll need, spotlessly clean and the location is amazing. Right in town (with heaps of great pubs and places to eat) and a stones throw from the beach. Loads to do in surrounding area but we hardly wanted to leave Southwold, it's so beautiful. Make sure you get the boat to Walberswick though, from the Harbour.

This is a small but perfectly equipped house in the middle of Southwold. Very comfortable with a lovely bathroom and well fitted kitchen. Close to restaurants and the beach. We would use it again.

The cottage is beautifully maintained and clean. It's cosy and warm and the decor is tastefully coastal themed. We love everything about this property. The little touches such as the illuminated mirror on the dressing table and the jar of cotton wool, show that a lot of thought has gone into this little holiday home. This was lovely cottage in a perfect position and I really enjoyed my stay, I think it is very suitable for a solo traveller like myself. I really appreciated the welcome pack and having towels in situ and the bed made. The option to book by telephone and speak to a real person is very reassuring and makes it easier to raise queries, add to the booking etc.

We could not fault this traditional fisherman’s cottage in a fantastic location in sunny Southwold. Spotlessly clean and very cosy, the outdoor courtyard is perfect for reading and catching the afternoon sun. Did not want to leave.
