Southwold, the most quintessentially British seaside town

Southwold, the most quintessentially British seaside town

Found on the Suffolk Coast with its sandy beach, pier and famous beach hut-lined promenade, there are few seaside towns quite as well-suited for a traditional family holiday as Southwold.

Families have been holidaying in this thriving coastal market town for generations and it remains an ideal destination for young and old, families and couples for a weeks’ holiday or short break.

Our Southwold highlights

Take a refreshing walk along the prom, breathing in the sea air, passing by the brightly coloured beach huts and ending up on the pier for an ice cream or fish and chips.

Hire your very own beach hut. What could be better than spending a day on Southwold’s Blue Flag award-winning beach for some traditional seaside fun?
